                     STATE OF GEORGIA, SUMTER COUNTY
TO ANY JUDGE, JUSTICE OF THE INFERIOR COURT, JUSTICE OF THE PEACE OR MINISTER 
OF THE GOSPEL:

                    YOU ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO JOIN 

William W. Bryan and Elizabeth T. A. McMurrien In the Holy State of MATRIMONY, 
according to the Constitution and Laws of this State and for so doing, this 
shall be your sufficient License.

                     Given under my Hand and Seal, this Twenty - Sixth 
                     day July 1851.

William Washington and Elizabeth T. A. McMurrain Bryan were connected to many 
families in the Macon County area. They were the parents of my Great 
Grandfather Jesse Harris Bryan (husband of Mary Lucinda Massey; d/o Green 
Massey and Joanah Hill)of Colquitt County GA.
