Chattanooga, Tenn., July 9 – Dr. H.S. Crockett, of Americus, Ga. and Mrs. 
Mattie L. Preston, of Washington Springs, Va., met in this city today and were 
married by a local minister.  Each of the contracting parties are over 60 years 
of age.  They were playmates in Virginia in their early days, were separated 
many years, and met again and fell in love with each other.  Dr. Crockett is 
now an active practicing physician in Americus, Ga., where the couple will make 
their future home.  The bride comes from one of the best families in Virginia 
and is a woman of rare elegance.
