Kendrick was born in Jasper County, May 1807, the son of Nancy Burke and Robert Sheldrake (Sheldrick?) Kendrick. He died in Talbot Co May 1873, and is buried in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery along with his mother. He married Frances Lloyd. She died April 1847 and is also buried in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. KENDRICK, William Thomas-Appointed 1st Corporal of Co D, 6th Regt Ga State Troops, Oct 18, 1861. Roll for Apr 16, 1862, last on file, shows him present. Mustered out at Savannah, Ga Apr 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co B 32nd Regt Ga Inf Apr 18, 1862. Appointed 2nd Corporal in 1864. Captured near Averysboro, N.C. Mar 16, 1865. Released at Point Lookout, Md June 28, 1865.
