He married Mary "Polly" Riley born 1793 NC died 1860 Mary was child of my John Riley and Nancy Lynch. Dennis was a Trustee of the Methodist Church in Carsonville. He died in Dec 1863 as his son was appointed Administrator. Robert Carson, deeded to the trustees of The Methodist Episcopal Church in 1842, one acre of land Deedbook D/169(Lot 131, 24th Land District). It was known as Carsonville Methodist Episcopal Church. The trustees names in this deed were Micajah Blow, John Carson, William P. Edwards, Thomas Greer, Henry H.
