Simeon Hull Smith, MD (Nov. 25, 1854-Dec. 13, 1928) was a son of Anthony 
Garnett Smith, Jr. and Elizabeth M. Smith, pioneers of Upson County and Talbot 
County, Georgia. Dr. S. Hull Smith graduated from the Atlanta College of 
Physicians and Surgeons in 1899 and practiced in Monroe County, Georgia. 
 
He and his wife, Mary A. Smith, had the following children: Infant Daughter 
Smith, Lucius E. H. Smith (1882 - 1958), Fred G. Smith (1884 - 1960), Jessie 
Lee Smith Carlisle (1886 - 1967), Otis Smith (born in 1887), Inez Smith 
Woronick (1889 - 1974), and Mary Alice Smith Travis (1897 - 1965). Many 
members of the Smith family are buried in Culloden City Cemetery in Monroe, 
County.
