This Indenture made this Twenty Eight day of
December Eighteen Hundred and Fifty between Amos
Adams of the State and County aforesaid of the one
part and Robert M. Whittington of the same State and
County of Macon of the other part.  Witnesseth that
the said Amos Adams in and consideration of the sum
of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars to him in hand paid
at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
by these presents hath bargained, sold and conveyed
and delivered by these presents unto Robert M.
Whittington a tract or part of land in the
Fourteenth District of originally Muscogee now
Talbot County said parcel of land is known in the
plan of said district by No. One Hundred and Eighty
Nine One Hundred One and Fourth acres more or less
on the west half of said lot or parcel of land.  To
have and to hold said parcel or tract of land
together with all and singular the rights, members,
and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner
belonging to his and their own proper use benefit
and behoof forever in fee simple.  And the said Amos
Adams for his self, his heirs, executors and
administrators the said bargained premises unto the
said Robert M. Whittington his heirs and assigns
will warrant and forever defend the right and title
thereof against themselves and against the claims of
all other persons whatever.  In witness whereof the
said Amos Adams has hereunto set his hand and seal
the day and year above written.
