Georgia
Talbot County }  This Indenture made this seventeenth day of August Eighteen 
hundred forty four between Calvin J. Branan of the one part and William 
Williamson of the other part both of the County and State above written. 
Witnesseth that the said Calvin J. Branan  for & in consideration of the sum of 
Two hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivery of 
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted 
bargained & sold and do by these present grant bargain sell & convey unto the 
said William Williamson his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land it 
being the south west corner of lot No. (184) one hundred & Eighty four in the 
17th district of Talbot County containing fifty acres more or less unto him the 
said Williamson his heirs executors &c the said bargained premises Together 
with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances Thereto belonging the 
same in any manner, and the said Calvin J. Branan will forever warrant & defend 
the right & title Thereof against himself and against the claim or claims of 
all & every other person or persons whatever lawfully claiming the same
In witness whereof the said Calvin J. Branan hath hereunto set his hand & 
affixed his seal the day & date above written

Harris County    Personally appeared before me Toliver Jones who being duly 
sworn deposeth & saith that he saw Calvin J Branan assign the above deed as 
conveyance also Alfred Williamson as witness & this deponent also assigned the 
same as witness also sworn to & subscribed to This 26th August 1844
