Witnesseth that the said David Lockhart for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he, the said David Lockhart has and bears for his children and grandchildren (the parties hereafter mentioend) has given granted, and does by these presents give grant and convey unto the several parties respectively upon the terms, conditions and specifications hereinafter specificed as follows that is to say, gives, grants and conveys unto Jno F. Lockhart, negroes, Frank, Winney ?, Washington, & Ann appraised and valued at fifty seven hundred dollars and fifteen hundred dollars in money; He also gives, grants and conveys to Lemuel D Lockhart, negroes Jack, Darkey, Louraney? & Willis appraised and valued at fifty five hundred dollars and Seventeen hundred dollars in money. He also gives, grants and conveys until his son, Lafayette T. Lockhart, negroes Milly, Lucy, Bob and Burton appraised at Sixty Two hundred dollars and one thousand dollars in money. He also gives, grants and conveys unto his son, Amos J. Lockhart, negroes Hester, Katy, Aleck and John appraised & valued at Sixty Seven Hundred dollars and Five Hundred dollars in money. He also gives, grants and conveys unto Wm J. Sears, trustee for his wife, Louisiana Sears, Negroes Dick, Ret, Eliza and Louiza appraised and valued at Seventy Two hundred Dollars. He also gives, grants and conveys unto his Grandson, Edward D. Amos, Winney and George, two negroes appraised and valued at Twenty five hundred dollars and Eleven hundred dollars in money. He also gives, grants and conveys until said Trustee of my granddaughter Anna S. Amos, David and Frances, negroes valued at three thousand dollars and six hundred dollars in money. All of said Negroes and increase given to the several children and grandchildren as a love specified ____ the following terms and conditions, that is to say, should any or either of said persons viz said Jno F, Lemenuel D., Lafayette T. Amos, J.W. Sears, Edward D. Amos & Anna S. Amos die without child or children then & in that event all of said Negroes with their increase revert & turn back & become a part of my Estate should I be dead, if living said negroes & Increase given to those persons to revert & and return to me. The negroes & increase given to Wm J. Sears as Trustee of his wife, Lousiana Sears is given to her for her separate use, maintenance and support. Should she die without child or children the same to revert to me or my estate. The negroes & increase to Edward D. Amos, trustee for Anna S. Amos is given on the same terms as that given to Louisiana Sears. And some of the parties to whom the property is given is to be allowed to transfer any portion of said property & upon these conditions each of said children & grandchildren are to have & hold the property & upon no other (erasings & interlining before signing) David Lockhart Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of us Jno H. Searcy who being duly sworn disposeth sayeth that he saw David Lockhart signed, seal and deliver the written deed for the purposes therein contained and he signed the same as a witness & saw S.B.
