Written: August 2, 1910

Sheriff's Tax Deed

Georgia, Talbot County

This indenture made the the 2nd day of August, 1910, between H.P. McDaniel, 
Sheriff of said county, of the first part, and P.C. & J.L. Watson of Taylor 
County, of the second part, Witnesseth:

THAT WHEREAS, said Sheriff did on the 5th day of March, 1910, under and by 
virtue of a tax fifa, issued by J.M. Robertson, Tax Collector in and for said 
County, for the principal sum of Two & 75/100 dollars ($2.75), besides 
interest and costs, covering Sate and County Taxes due and owing by Mrs. R.I
(?) Adams; and,

WHEREAS, said Sheriff did afterwards, to-wit:  On the first Tuesday in August, 
1910, expose to sale the property so levied on at the Court House door in said 
County, between the legal hours of sale, after having advertised the same 
according to law in Talbotton New Era, a newspaper published at Talbotton, Ga, 
and in which Sheriff's advertisements for said County are placed; and, 

WHEREAS, the said P.C. and J.L. Watson, having been the highest bidder for 
same, the said land was knocked off to him as the purchaser at the sum 
hereinafter named.

NOW THEREFORE, the H.P. McDaniel, Sheriff as aforesaid, in consideration of 
the premises, and the sum of Two & 50/100 dollars to him in hand paid at and 
before the signing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged does hereby grant, bargain, sell alien and convey unto the 
said P.C. and J.L. Watson, his heirs and assigns, the aforesaid land, more 
fully described as follows:

One lot in the town Woodland, Ga. being lot No. 1 in Block 11.

To have and to hold the said land (subject only to the right of redemption as 
provided by law) to the said P.C. and J.L. Watson, his heirs and assigns 
forever in fee simple.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said H.P. McDaniel, Sheriff as aforesaid, has 
hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal and delivered these presents the 
day and year first above written.
