This indenture made this 11th day of September Eighteen
hundred & thirty between James Brown of said County &
State aforesaid of one part and Harrison Smith of the
County of Bibb and State aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that I the said James Brown for and in
consideration of the sum of Six hundred & twenty five
dollars to him in hand paid at & before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath bargained & sold unto the said Harrison
Smith his heirs &C all that tract or lot of land lying &
being in the Twenty third District of Muscogee originally
(now Talbot County) knowing and distinguished by lot
number two hundred & ninety three (293) containing two
hundred two & half acres having such shape and marks as
doth appear in a plat of the said lot.  Together with all
and singular the rights members and appurtenances
thereunto belonging to the only use benefit & behoof of
him the said Harrison Smith his heirs & assigns forever
in fee simple and I the said James Brown for myself my
heirs Exec. & administrators do warrant and defend the
right & title of said tract of land forever unto him the
said Smith his heirs &C from the claim of all persons
whatsoever.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal
the day and year above written ~ Signed Sealed &
