Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Harrison Smith the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that the said Henry Howell hath bargained sold & by these presents doth bargain sell convey & confirm unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the County of Muscogee & State aforesaid containing Two Hundred two & half acres District No. Twenty three and known as lot No. Two Hundred & ninety four (294) and having such shape & form as will appear by a plat of the same. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs and assigns forever together with all appurtenances thereunto belonging the said Henry Howell his heirs and assigns shall & will forever warrant & defend the right and title to the land aforesaid unto Harrison Smith his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of any person or persons whomsoever.
