Ruth Jaeger" http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/talbot/land/.txt From Talbot County, GA Deed Book J, pg 464 23rd District - Land Lot # 282 State of Georgia County of Talbot This indenture made this fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifty five between DANIEL WETHERS of the county of Talbot State aforesaid of the one part, and OWEN FINLEY of the county of Talbot of the other part, witnesseth that the said DANIEL WETHERS for and in consideration of six hundred and sixty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealings and delivery of these presents the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold aliened conveyed by these presents does grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said OWEN FINLEY his hiers and assigns lot of land lying and being in the twenty third district of said county and known in the plan of said district as number two hundred and eighty two (282) to have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land unto the said OWEN FINLEY his hiers and assigns together with all and singular the apprentenancees thereunto belonging to his and their own proper benefit and behoof forever in fee simple, and the said DANIEL WETHERS for himself _____ executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said OWEN FINLEY his hiers executors and assigns will warrant forever defend the right and title thereof against himself and against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said DANIEL WETHERS has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
