That William Searcy, James Mason, John Adams, Joel Measles, Alexander G. Nixon and William Green, be, and they are hereby appointed a body corporate, by the style of the Trustees of Marion Academy in the county of Talbot. NOTES: Location: Marion Academy was probably in Baldwinville vicinity near the Northeast corner of Georgia 208 (The Wire Road) and Dan Searcy Road. Dan Searcy Road going south becomes Ingram Road and runs into Georgia 90. The church Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist (1837) was begun there and its history said it was adjoining Marion Academy.
