J. Perryman, Sr., Ordinary Talbotton, Georgia Georgia, Talbot County. Applicant for pension, W. S. Couch, was a member of my company and command, C.S.A. Army. He enlisted with me in Company D, with Frank McKinney as Captain, 4th Georgia Batallion, Blount's Cavalry, about April 1863, State Troops. He did serve with State troops until the latter part of the summer, 1864, when he was transferred to Wheeler's Cavalry at Spring Place, Geogia, near the line of Tennessee, he was attached to the 18th Alabama Regiment, Warren Reese, Colonel, Allen's Brigadeer General. Ivison' Division, and followed Wheeler in his raid through Tennessee. On returning again, he with his command was ordered to Macon, Georgia, to resist Wilson's raid. When Macon was surrendered, April 1865, applicant, W. S. Couch, amd writer, escaped capture there and left command in Macon as prisoners of Wilson J. T.
