Muster Roll of "Talbot Hussars" January 25, 1836 Original from an answer written by Lt Tarpley T.P. Holt (after Capt Biddle's resignation) to Governor's Military Aide who had requested a list of the effective men under his command and the nature and condition of the men. Lt. Holt added a postscript, "as far as I can recollect", and that he thought there were others, but Capt Biddle had not turned over the list". The report filed by the Military department: "Report from Talbot Hussars, 40 officers and men, no captain--destitute of arms--Rec'd 22nd Jan 1836". Later there was an election and David B.
