Mrs. M.M. Watkins is with her daughter, Mrs. A.M. Greathouse. Mr. and Mr. D.B. Searcy and daughter, Mildred, spent Sunday with Rev. and Mrs. B.E. Donehoo in Talbotton. Mr. and Mrs. Mercer Caudle and children and Mrs. Jennie Caudle of Ellerslie, spent Sunday with relatives here. Messrs. Charlie and Henry Searcy of Daviston, were visitors here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. T.A. McDowell and little daughter, Idaouise, of Talbotton, passed through here Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Henry Gilbert spent Sunday with Mrs. C.C. Royals. The many friends of Mrs. S.A. Baldwin of Cordele, who has been quite ill with typhoid are glad to know that she continues to improve. Mr. and Mrs. Will Braddy and family, of Daviston, and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Wheatley of Americus motored to Talbotton and spent Sunday with Major. L.H. Coart. Average of 150 at Baptist Sunday School for Oct. On fifth Sunday in October 1921 we had present at Sunday School 84. Last Sunday we had 150 present. This makes our average attendance for October 1922, 150. For October 1921, it was 91. Our average gain over 1921 then is 59. Will Send Box To Old Soldiers Home The Alice Beall Matthews Chapter U.D.C. will send to the old Soldier’s Home in Atlanta on November 6th, a box consisting of any kind of canned fruits, vegetables, cakes, candy, tobacco, in fact anything to eat. If anyone in Talbot County wishes to contribute to this worthy cause it will be appreciated. Mrs. John A. Mr. Hamp Couch, of Atlanta, was the guest of his mother, Mrs. W.S. Couch, on Sunday. Messrs. J.B. Douglas and F.R. Spivey returned Monday from a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Alford in Sylvester. Mrs. J.S. Cahill returned last week from Columbus where she was entertained by Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Spain. Mr. J.H. McGehee was in Columbus Saturday. The handsome chrysanthemums from the flower gardens of Mrs. John Parker and Miss Julia Trussell are objects of admiration and extravagant comment on all occasions during the chrysanthemum season. Mrs. J.W. Jordan, Mrs. E.H. Spivey, Frank, Clarence and Cornelia Jordan and Mr. A.J. Perryman spent Saturday in Columbus. Mr. Alton Harp has returned from Macon, where he was formerly employed. Mr. and Mrs. John Slaughter of Thomaston, were guests of their aunt, Mrs. Crawford Downs, on Sunday. Miss Iona Downs attended the Baptist Sunday school convention in Columbus on Tuesday. Mrs. Roy Dukes of Atlanta, is spending a couple of weeks with Talbotton relatives. During Mrs. A.P. Persons absence when she was in Atlanta, Mr. Persons and Gus, Jr. were with Mr. T.H. Persons and family. Mr. J.A. Battle was confined to his room with dengue fever the past week. Miss Helen Cahill complimented the Junior Epworth League with a “weiner roast” on Saturday.
