Jones Perryman, for eight years solicitor-general for the Chattahoochee circuit, will this week move his law offices to Talbotton and that on the first of next month, the Perrymans will move their residence there. Mr. Perryman has a wide acquaintance and many friends throughout the judicial circuit who will be interested in his new move. Both he and Mrs. Perryman have many friends here who will regret that they are to leave Columbus and these will be glad to know that it is their announced intention to visit Columbus frequently. Mr. Perryman like his father and grandfather before him has had an illustrious public career. Serving as mayor of Talbotton, member of the state legislature, where as head of the large penitentiary committee he was instrumental in bringing about far-reaching reforms in the state penal system, and as solicitor-general for two four-year terms. He is a man of considerable ability and has well justified the friendship that so many have imposed on him. Geneva Mr. and Mrs. Bill Colquitt and small daughter of Atlanta recently spent the day guests of Mr. Cape Colquitt. Miss Mary Seigler of Savannah spent the weekend with Miss Addie Baldwin. Mr. Robert Persons of Savannah was a recent guest of relatives here. Miss Ora Colquitt spent the weekend at Toccoa. Friends will be pleased to learn that Mrs. Hallie Fuller is improving at the hospital in Columbus. Miss Dorothy Favors and little Ann Ledbetter were visitors to Columbus recently. Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Parker of Columbus were guests of their parents Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Maund of Columbus will be the guests of their parents this week. Services To Be Held At Episcopal Church Mr. Britt Ellington of Thomaston, Ga., who is a student at Virginia Theological Seminary will conduct a service at Zion Episcopal Church, December 24th at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The public is cordially invited. Woman’s Club To Meet The regular December meeting of the Talbotton Woman’s Club will be held at the Strauss-LeVert Memorial Hall, Friday afternoon, Dec. 10th at 2:30 o’clock. The program will be in charge of Mrs. H.E. Hutcheson with the following ladies taking part: Mrs. W.L. Perryman, Mrs. Ober D. Warthen, Mrs. Gertrude Teal, Mrs. Ida L. Leonard and Misses Gussie Pearl Childs. The hostesses for the afternoon will be: Mesdames G.M. Graham, Ida L. Leonard, W.L. Perryman, H.E. Hutcheson and Misses Gussie Pearl Childs and Evelyn Smith.
