G. Currington, convicted in Talbot superior court last month of the murder of his brother, H. H. Currington, will not be electrocuted October 16, it being announced Saturday that Judge C. Frank McLaughlin has continued the hearin on motion for a new trial, which was scheduled to be held in Columbus Saturday. The continuance was granted upon request of counsel for the condemned man, it being stated that the amended motion was not ready. The hearing, under Judge McLaughlin's new order, is scheduled to be held October 17, the day after execution date. The order continuing the hearing autmatically stayed the execution. Currington is in the Muscogee county jail, having been carried there a few days after he was convicted in Talbotton.
