Harris filled his regular appointment here. Mrs. W.J. Hinton, of Columbus, visited her brothers, Messrs. John and Jim Boswell Saturday and Sunday. Tolbert Gill and wife visited near Howard Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. J.H. Jackson was in Columbus one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace were in Columbus Saturday. Charlie Boswell, of Columbus, spent the weekend with homefolks. W.C. Payne and wife were the weekend guests of Mrs. P.B. Barfield. Messrs. E.A. Blythe and Flemson Morgan spent Sunday in Columbus. The many friends of Robert Blythe are glad to see him out after several weeks illness. Miss Mattie Miller was the spend the day guest of Mrs. B. Monds Monday. Mrs. Nixon has returned home after several weeks visit to Norwich. Mrs. Ed Layfield was the guest of Mrs. J.M. Layfield. The many friends of Mr. Rufus Layfield and family regret their removal to Vidalia but wish for them success. Mrs. Gordon Parks and children were the weekend guests at the Jackson House. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Watson visited in Butler Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. J.A. Gresham visited friends here last week. Mr. Floyd Barfield was in our midst Saturday afternoon. J.R. Martin visited W.K. Martin and family last Sunday. Several from here attended court in Talbotton this week. John Jones and family visited relatives near Box Springs Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. C. Blair, Miss Lula Blair and Mr. Oscar Bates were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Nixon. Mrs. John Hale was the spend the day guest of Miss Maude Layfield Sunday. W.C. Payne and wife visited relatives near Talbotton Saturday and Sunday. Mr. S. Hart and wife, Mrs. Ed Layfield and children motored over to Columbus one day last week. W.H. Martin was in Talbotton Monday. Mrs. B.T. Gill was spend the day guest of Mrs. Grady Watson Friday. W.R. Blythe visited friends and relatives near Box Springs last week. Mr. Culpepper, wife and children visited near Talbotton Saturday and Sunday. The many friends of Dr. C.C. Carson regret to learn of his illness and hope that he will soon be well. The entertainment at the home of L.C. Nixon Saturday night was very much enjoyed by all. Mr. Greathouse and wife of Talbotton visited relatives here Sunday afternoon. H.C. Watson, of Norwich, visited relatives here Monday. Blythe visited their sister, Mrs. Marie Barnes Edwards in Talbotton last week. Miss Maude Thomas was weekend guest of Miss Lucile Merritt. Miss Emily Baldwin visited friends here last Sunday. Mrs. J.H. Jackson visited Mrs. Will Patterson at Geneva last week. Mr. S.C. Montgomery was called to the bedside of his grandfather at Norwich who is quite ill. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hill of Mauk visited relatives here Saturday and Sunday. John Hill has purchased himself a Ford. Look out girls you are going to get a ride. Eugene Boswell and wife of Marshallville, are visiting their parents J.A. Boswell. Miss Daisy Miller was guest of Miss Emma Downs Sunday. Mrs. C.B. Lucas and Mrs. Nettie Anthony of Fort Perry were spend the day guests of Mrs. J.J. Downs.
