J.O.A. Cook, presiding Elder. Whereas, under the law of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, our beloved pastor, Rev. J.O.A. Cook, must leave us at the end of this year and labor in another portion of the Master’s vineyard. Therefore be it resolved by the Quarterly Conference of the Talbot Circuit. 1. That his life and labors among us for four years past have been a blessing, one that will abide and bear fruit for years to come. 2. That in parting with him as our presiding Elder, we heartily express our love for, and confidence in him and pray God’s choicest blessings upon him and his family as they to go to another field of labor. 3. That these resolutions be entered upon our conference records and furnished our church and county paper.
