Parents and loved ones from far and near are wending their way to the halls of learning to enjoy the commencement, add watch with pardonable pride the bright beautiful star of their hearts and home shine with marvelous radiance. Our own county has lovely representatives who are now! “Standing with reluctant feet Where the brook and river meet.” Miss Susan Singleton Leonard returns from Wesleyan with marks of distinction. Miss Alice Grant does credit to her Alma Mater – Bessie Tift College. Miss Mabelle Mathews is a fair representative of LaGrange Female College. Miss Emma Watkins of Ypsilanti, who has been contributing interesting articles concerning points of interest in Athens will graduate at the State Normal.
