Meets The Woodland P.T.A. met in the school auditorium, October 6th with the president, Mrs. Bert Cantrell, presiding. The Association voted to buy charts and flash cards for Miss Martin’s room; to buy construction paper for the grammar grades; furnish supplies for the First Aid cabinet; build a bookcase and to sponsor a dental clinic. The membership chairman, Mrs. W.J. Braddy announced that 29 people had joined the P.T.A. and plans were made to solicit others. The Association was privileged to hear Dr. Quillian, President of LaGrange College, who spoke to the teachers of the county at 2:30 o’clock. Delicious refreshments were served to the teachers and P.T.A. members by Miss Martin, Mesdames W.J. Braddy, J.F. Woodall, B.H. Adams, B.M. Cantrell, J.C. Garrett, Misses Sara Smith and Miriam O’Neal.
