The Talbotton New Era Thursday, August 5, 1909 Page Three Woodland One of the most interesting events of late society here was an entertainment given by Miss Nannie Laurie Allen, complimentary to Miss Theo Jordan of Troy, Ala. Miss Allen was lovely in a white lingerie with blue ribbons. The long hall and veranda were decorated with pot and cut flowers. Many games were played. Those present were: Misses Beverly, Woodall, Smith, Ada and Bulah Jackson, Garrett, Jordan, Sara and Annie Pye, Lilly and Vera Jordan, Elma Allen; Messrs. Owens Garrett, W.B. Jordan, Perry Mahone, Will, James and Bangh Woodall, Joseph Smith, Ira Jordan, John and Norris Pye, J.T. and Charles Russell.
