Talbotton, Ga., March 14.  Mr. W. Scott Brown shot and killed a young man named 
Miller last night in Talbot valley.  Brown claims to have been acting in self-
defense.  Miller's brother says that he and his brother were walking quietly along 
when Brown approached and fired his pistol.  Miller was a young man of about 19 
years of age, and was working on Brown's place. 
The grand jury will investigate the killing of Mr. J H Miller by Mr. W S Brown.  
Witnesses have been subpoenad (sic) to appear before them.  He will be brought to a

speedy trial.
