First of all we were shocked and pained by the sudden death of Mrs. Henry Persons. Before we had hardly recovered from the suddenness of this death the sad news was flashed over the wires of the unexpected death of Mrs. Ed Callier of Thomaston. Mrs. Callier was the sister of our fellow citizen of the county Mr. W.A. Baldwin and had numerous other brothers and sisters throughout the state who were made sad by her death. She is also a sister of Mrs. J.J. Bull who formerly lived in Talbotton. Besides brothers and sisters she being a Talbot county woman, has numerous relatives in Talbotton and Talbot county. May the Great God of all our sorrows and troubles comfort the bereaved friends for if there indeed be balm in Gilead we know that this departed friend is in a happier place for hers was a life of blessed usefulness.
