Dixon died at his home in West Point today. Mr. Dixon was postmaster of West Point and president of the board of the West Point Public schools. He married Miss Mary McGehee, daughter of Rev. J.B. McGehee, of Talbotton, who survives him. One son, Robert, is the only child. He was a brother of Mrs. Andrew J. Kiser, of Atlanta, and of Mr. Bryant Dixon of Athens. His mother is Mrs. Fannie P. Dixon, formerly of West Point, but now of Atlanta. He was a public spirited citizen and prominent in everything connected with the welfare of West Point or its citizens. Mr. Dixon will be buried in Pine View cemetery at West Point. – Atlanta Constitution Mr. Dixon formerly lived her, and was at one time Editor of the New Era. He was a first honor graduate of Emory College. Messrs. J.H. and E.H. McGehee attended the funeral Tuesday at West Point.
