Edwards committed suicide here last night by shooting herself through the head with her husband’s pistol while lying in bed. An inquest was held this morning by Coroner C.L. Carter, and the verdict of the jury was that she came to her death by her own hand by shooting herself. Before her marriage she was Miss Susie Lucas, daughter of E.A. Lucas, a prominent farmer living five miles from Talbotton. She and J.F. Edwards were married in Columbus five or six years ago under romantic circumstances. She leaves a son, J.F. Edwards, Jr., a little baby daughter, her husband, J.F. Edwards, who is at present marshal of the town of Talbotton.
