Sunday morning at 2 o'clock Mr. John C. Elliott calmly breathed out his life and passed out from this sphere of existence to the veiled unknown amoung the numberless host of departed spirits. Mr. Elliott had been confined to his bed from some weeks prior to his death, and in ill health for several months. All that skilled physicians, kind and solicitors neighbors, loving, anxious, faithful and seemingly indefatigable wife, was done to stay the onward course of the disease, but all in vain and at the time stated death claimed its own. Mr. Elliott had been a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for a number of years and died with the hope of a blessed immortality. Rev. L.W. Parrott preached his funeral at his former home this morning. He was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Talbotton at 12:30 o'clock. (Talbot City) He leaves a wife and four sons and many friends to mourn his death. We extend heartfelt sympathy.
