His remains were interred in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Talbotton on the 6th inst. He was a man of brilliant intellectual attainments, having been a graduate of Harvard University. While living all his life in Talbot County, he was yet identified with and prominent in state affairs, having represented his district in the State Senate and the Constitutional Convention in 1877. He was a vigorous and graceful writer on varied subjects. More prominent among his literary excursions being his sketches and articles on outdoor life and field sports. He was genial and companionable, possessing rare stores of anecdotes and a wide range of genial information. He was an affectionate father, and devoted to the interests and happiness of his children. He was a son of the late Dr. John O. Gorman, of Talbotton, and a brother of the late Dr. Thomas E. Gorman of Opelika, Ala.
