He died at his residence a few hundred yards beyond the city limits, on Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock, after a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. He had reached his three score years and ten. Mr. Hall was Sheriff of Talbot County for several terms about 28 years ago. By trade he was a gunsmith. For the past 30 years or more, he has been engaged in farming, and by industry and frugality he had acquired considerable landed property. He was a Mason and a member of the Baptist church. He was a man of a cheerful and social disposition and had many friends throughout the county. He leaves a wife, who has been his faithful helpmate indeed and 9 grown children besides grandchildren. His remains were interred in Oak Hill Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, he being buried with Masonic honors.
