Hart On June 23, 1904, God extended His hand and took from our midst the gentle spirit of Mrs. Nannie Hart, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.P. Fielder, near Box Springs. The end came after one week’s illness, like the emerging of night into day. She was the wife of Dr. S.G. Hart, deceased, and is survived by seven children: Mrs. L.P. Fielder, W.J. and S.F. Hart, of Box Springs, Samuel Hart, of Atlanta, Barney P. Hart of Birmingham, Ala., and I.P. Hart and Rev. A.T. Hart, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Charity Ursury, of Macon County. After funeral services conducted by Rev. McMahon, she was laid to rest at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Friday morning at 10 o’clock. Mrs. Hart was 62 years of age, and had lived a consistent Christian from early womanhood. She was an affectionate, faithful wife, a true and devoted mother. She has gone from her loved ones on earth, but not lost. She has only gone home to her Lord and her reward. Tired and weary, she has fallen asleep in the arms of Jesus. Her death is mourned by all who knew her.
