Johnson died yesterday morning at her home in Rose Hill, a few miles east of the city at 10:15 o’clock. Mrs. Johnson was born in Talbot County and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Mizell. Her father died a good many years ago and the family removed to this city where they have been residing about twenty years. She was in her forty second year at the time of her death, and besides her bereaved husband she leaves two little boys, James A., Jr. and Charles M., five and six years old respectively. As Miss Nettie Mizell while employed at J.A. Kirven Co.’s dry goods store, she met and made friends of hundreds of people thoughout the territory contigious to this city and won the confidence and esteem of them all. She was a sister of Mr. Charley Mizell. The funeral occurred at Rose Hill Baptist church at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Dr. R.C. Granberry the pastor.
