JUNIPER, Ga.- Edgar Jones, 86, of Juniper, died
Tuesday at Marion Memorial Hospital in Buena Vista. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
Pine Level Methodist Church, with burial in the
church cemetery, according to Tante Funeral Home of
Buena Vista.

Mr. Jones was born April 1888, in Talbot County, son
of the late Andres and Carrie Miller Jones. He had
lived in Marion County for 78 years and was a retired
farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella O’Hearn
Jones, Juniper; two sons, J.C. Jones, Juniper and
Lawrence Jones, Griffin; four daughters, Mrs. Ester
Foster, Buena Vista, Mrs. Edna Hagler, Columbus, Mrs.
Lucy Mae Foster, Barnesville, and Mrs. Doris Anglin,
New Orleans, La.; a brother, Sam Jones, Buena Vista;
three sisters, Mrs. Liller Clements, Buena Vista,
Mrs. Nida Stubbs, Americus, Mrs. Della Phillips,
Columbus; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-
grandchildren. (***Note the different spellings of
the siblings in this one and in Sam Jones’)
