She was stricken Sunday morning with pneumonia and continued to grow worse until the end came. A trained nurse was called but to no avail. She was the daughter of W.S. and Lavinia Lawson and was born near Baldwinville, removing while she was quite young to Talbotton. The father passed away many years ago; the mother preceded her eleven years almost to the day. Miss Ella Lawson was one of the finest characters that ever lived in Talbotton. She was responsive and generous to very good word and work. There are many railroad men all over the country, who will always remember the influence and genial kindness of the home. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church and faithful to all its ordinances. Rev. Smith conducted the funeral, Friday afternoon. Internment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Miss Lawson is survived by two brothers, Messrs. Davis of this place and D.D. of Hot Springs; several nephews and nieces and two cousins, Misses Anna and Laura Ellis of Alabama.
