Mallory On the 19th day of August 1910 death came to our home and claimed for its own our dear father. He was born March 25th, 1848 and lived to be sixty-two years old. He joined Horeb Baptist Church in 1888 and he was made deacon of that church and filled his office well. On December 22nd, 1868, he was married to Mary E. Caraway of Upson Co. and they lived happily together 41 years. Eight children blessed this happy union, Messrs. Jack, Baz, Claborn and Frank Mallory, Mrs. D.E. Wade, Mrs. T.L. Morgan and Misses Maggie and Mattie L. Mallory. They all survive him and he leaves a devoted wife to mourn their loss. He was a noble christian man and has left us an example that we should follow in his steps. We bow in humble submission and say, God has taken him from us and it is all for the best. We will put our trust in Jesus and on his bosom rest. Some day he will bring us all home to heaven where our papa is now at rest. Where God the Father reineth and all is peace and love.
