Mrs. L.B. McCrory Dead

Just as we go to press news comes of the death of Mrs. L.B. McCrory at 
Woodland.

Mrs. L.B. McCrory

The sudden death of this good woman was a shock to her many friends and loved 
ones.

She leaves an aged and grief stricken husband, one daughter, Miss Sallie 
McCrory, two sons, Mr. Boyd McCrory of Atlanta and Mr. J.T. McCrory.  Miss 
Jeanie Lee Crafton is one of the several devoted grandchildren.

For fifty-seven years she has walked by her husband’s side, in joy and in 
sorrow, the same sweet spirit ever abiding in declining years, in the happy 
home circle, as did when her step was more elastic.  She was nearing her 
seventy-ninth birthday, yet, her mind and health were clear and active.  
Having descended from a cultured family, she retained that true refinement 
throughout life; in early girlhood uniting with the Presbyterian church, thus 
dedicating her life to her Savior sixty-five years.

She grew in those christian graces of gentleness, meekness, faith and love.  
Her life was truly consistent; she filled the measure of her days with a 
faithful service to her Savior.  So when the evening came, there was nothing 
to do but fall asleep in Jesus and find sweet rest in the home of the soul.

Deceased was gently laid to rest beneath a bank of lovely flowers.  In the 
presence of a large concourse of friends, the funeral obsequies being 
conducted by her pastor, Rev. Link.
