McDowell died at 7:30 o’clock last Saturday morning, and her remains were interred Sunday morning at Woodland, in the presence of many dear friends who loved her as neighbor before she moved to Griffin. Deceased was an exemplary christian character, being a consistent member of the Presbyterian church. She leaves a brother, Mr. E.T. Freeman of Atlanta, a son Mr. E.S. McDowell, a daughter, Mrs. E. Hemphell of Griffin, several grandchildren and other loved ones to mourn her loss.
