S.M. Mills of Pleasant Hill. While Mr. Mills death was not altogether unexpected, he had been sick for some time yet it was nevertheless a severe shock to the many friends and relatives throughout the county. Mr. Mills has been identified with the politics of Talbot County, having been at one time Tax Receiver of Talbot County. His name was mentioned often in connection with the race for representative this year. His death is a distinct loss to the better type of citzenship in Talbot County. The grand old man who passed thru the Reconstruction Days and has always been true to what they conceive the highest duties of citizenship are fast passing away. It will be hard to find men as true to take their places. Mr. Mills was buried at Woodland Saturday a large number of friends being present. The papers also carry the announcement of the death of Judge Hinton the Ordinary of Meriwether county, His funeral occurred Saturday.
