Although being a great sufferer for a number of years, his death was a sudden shock to his family as well as his friends. Only an hour before he seemed as well as usual, but God saw fit to claim Norman as one of His own, and right there in his mother’s arms, he closed his eyes to things terrestrial, without the least sign of suffering, to awake in Paradise. Never was a child surrounded by greater love and tenderness, everything else being neglected to attend to all his wants. God plucked this flower, so sweet, so pure, so fair, that had cast so many rays of sunshine in the home that now feels so desolate, and has left in our hearts an aching void that never can be filled. But why should we weep? While we feel our loss deeply, we know that Norman is now among the angels, and cannot come back to us, but we can go to him where there is no more suffering and sorrow, and where we can forever be united in perfect bliss.
