Pim ran several hundred to escape a rain that was coming and as soon as he got in the door he fell dead of apoplexy or heart failure. He was a good man, a faithful worker and died excellent work, and was always reliable in his dealings. He will be missed by both white and black and his example of peacefulness and reliability is commended to his race by the white people who offer an open field for skillful labor like his.
