She was a devout member of the Baptist church and her many virtues, of piety, charity, simability and ever ready assistance to suffering humanity will be rewarded by the diadem that crowns the angelic host of paradise. Mrs. Harris approached the grave with unfaltering trust, and while shadows darken the home, rendering it lonely and desolate to the tear-filled eyes of the bereaved husband and children. They must remember she is at rest and they can ever cherish the fond memory of a sainted wife and mother. The deceased was the wife of Rev. John Harris, her children are: Mr. Dixie Harris, Mrs. O.V. Fuller, of Abbeville, Mrs. John Robertson, Mrs. Ernest Fuller, Miss Lila Harris, Miss Lucia Harris, Miss Annie Harris. The Talbotton New Era Thursday, December 24, 1903 Page 2 Harris On Thursday Aug. 6, 1903, the soul of our beloved sister, Emily Harris, wife of Rev. J.A. Harris, went to its home with God. She was of lovely Christian character in her home life, in the community, in the church; she adored the profession she made of the religion of Christ. Therefore be it resolved first that we extend our brother and family our sympathy and point them to the Lamb of God, the Christian friend. Second, that these resolutions be spread upon our minutes, a copy furnished the family, and that a copy be sent the Index, and the Talbotton New Era for publication. Respectively submitted, A.J.
