Dunn of Belleview. The death occurred at the home of Mr. P.F. Mahone, the grandfather of the little girl where she was suddenly taken sick and died within twelve hours after she was walking about on the floor. The pure little angel spirit took its flight so suddenly that the shock could not be endured by the fond parents and the father became unconscious from the shock and remained so several hours. She stayed on earth just long enough to wind herself about the hearts of all who knew her and then was transplanted in the world above – perhaps we do not know why – that the hearts of those who loved her may be more fixed on the heavenly land than ever before. While it is hard to give up one so full of promise, yet it was a blessing that she was lent to this old world even so short a time. We would attempt it if we knew how but we are speechless in trying to console the weeping parents, grandparents, and loving uncles and aunts in this, their dark hour of bereavement. *Note – In the November 26, 1903 issue of the New Era on page 6, there is a poem written in memory of Edith Dunn by May E.M. Millan. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
