Mr. A.M. Nelson Dead

Another Talbot County home was made sad and desolate Saturday when Mr. Augustus 
M. Nelson of Pleasant Hill, passed away.  Mr. Nelson was about 60 years old and 
had been living at Raleigh in Meriwether County many years going there from 
this county, but moved back to Talbot about a year ago.

Mr. Nelson is survived by a wife and four daughters who were living with him at 
the time of his death; and one son who lives at Eatonton, Ga.

He was brother of Justice W.T. Nelson of Pleasant Hill, sad cousin of Mr. J.D. 
Nelson and his brothers.

Friends extend deepest sympathy.

kindness shown my father and family during his recent illness.  May you ever

*Note - In the Talbotton New Era issue for November 12, 1903 there is an In 
Memoriam article on page 7 for Augustus Nelson.  The only date given in the 
article is Mr. Nelson’s date of death, Saturday, October 15, 1903. This date 
doesn't concur with the date in which the first newspaper article was written 
concerning Mr. Nelson's death.  According to my calculations, his date of death 
would be October 31, 1903.  If anyone is researching Mr. Nelson and has more 
information, please contact me so the correct date can be included in this 
posting.
