Miss Lizzie Turner, who departed this life at her home in Geneva, Jan. 9, 1904, after a long and painful illness. She was a woman of very high tone principle, and deep piety; she possessed a very kind, generous and amiable disposition, always forgetting herself, her own ease and comfort if she could relieve the wants and sufferings of others. The ministers will miss her, they found a welcome at her house and table; her house was their home. The Presbyterian church and entire community will miss her greatly; we sorrow when we remember that her sweet, mild face, and the influence of her Christian character will not be seen moving about us any more. But we must bow in humble submission to the will of God. Our loss is her great gain. Our hearts go out in great sympathy for her two fond brothers and dear devoted niece, who nursed her tenderly during all her long sickness, that she bore so patiently. May God sustain and comfort them. Everything was done that love could do to relieve her sufferings, but all in vain. Dear sister, may we soon join you in praising that loving Saviour who gave His life a ransom for us. A Friend This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
