About three weeks ago, a boil developed on her face and blood poison soon developed. She was given the very best medical attention, but the skill of the physicians could not save her. Mrs. Downs was a daughter of Mrs. J.W. Favors of Columbus and was loved and esteemed in the neighborhood in which she lived. The interment took place at Geneva Sunday afternoon, the funeral being largely attended by friends of the family and the deceased.
