Death of Mr. Sam Cottingham

Mr. Sam Cottingham died in Talbotton on last Wednesday afternoon after being 
sick for two or three months.  It was known that he was in bad health but his 
friends and relatives did not realize that his condition was so critical.  He 
died about 3 o’clock in the afternoon.  The funeral took place on Thursday 
afternoon from the residence of Mrs. Cunningham, the services being conducted 
by Dr. J.B. McGehee and Rev. J.G. Harrison.  The remains were interred in Oak 
Hill cemetery.  Mr. Cottingham is survived by his son, Mr. Harry Cottingham, of 
Talbotton and he has the sympathy of the entire community in his sorrow.
