Miss Jones got up in the morning feeling as well as usual, and went to the field and assister her father and others in picking cotton. About ten o’clock she complained of feeling badly and went to the house. She was there about fifteen minutes when she entered her room and laid down, thinking she would soon feel better. She was suddenly seized with several pains in her heart and stomach and died in two or three minutes. Miss Jones was a young lady who had many friends, and her death was a great shock to the community. The remains were brought to Talbotton Saturday afternoon and interred in Oak Hill Cemetery, Rev. Francis McCullough officiating. The funeral was largely attended, a testimonial of the high esteem in which the young lady was held. Mr. and Mrs. Jones have the sympathy of their friends in Talbotton and Talbot County in their sad bereavement. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
