Personal Items

Gussie Pierce, colored, a grown daughter of John Pierce, a highly respected 
colored farmer living near Talbotton, died Sunday and was buried in Talbotton 
colored cemetery Monday.  She was a good woman and had many commendable traits 
of good character and died a peaceful Christian death.  She had many friends 
among both colored and white people and during her long illness many white 
people took pleasure in doing whatever they could to relieve her sufferings.
