Jesse T. Wade Succumbs To Typhoid One of the saddest deaths that has occurred in Talbotton in some time was that of Rev. J.T. Wade at his home Monday night at nine o’clock. Mr. Wade had been confined to his bed for about nine weeks with a complication of diseases. He had both typhoid and meningitis complications. He had been unconscious for several weeks. At the time he was taken ill his wife was confined to her bed and in a hospital in Atlanta. Just after Mr. Wade was taken sick the news announced to him that his wife was very much worse. This gave him a shock from which he never seemed to recover. Mr. Wade was a consistent member of the Baptist branch of the Christian church, a Knight of Pythias and a Mason. During his illness he was shown much attention by the two secret orders of which he was a member. These two orders kept a trained nurse with him for several weeks and a nurse in their employ was with him at the time of death. He carried about one thousand dollars of Pythian insurance. He leaves a wife and several little children. His remains were interred at Horeb Church Tuesday afternoon. – Talbotton New Era This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
