Death of an Old Citizen

Mr. William J. McCrary after a lingering illness died at his home in this 
county on Sunday 4th inst., at 3 o’clock and was buried Monday at the family 
burying ground near Geneva.  Mr. McCrary was in his 73rd year and up to a short 
while ago was in very vigorous health for a man of his age.  He was an honored 
and highly respected citizen and there are left to mourn his loss, besides 
friends, a wife and several children, among whom are Messrs. Whit and Emmett 
McCrary, the former now living at Butler, and Mrs. Gus Cook. – Talbotton New Era
